Plan your birding trip to Seychelles

To see all the endemics of Seychelles (other than those of Aldabra which require a special effort), it is not essential to have a bird guide except at Mahe. At Mahe, it is extremely difficult to see Seychelles White-eye and Seychelles Scops-owl without a guide. A Mahe guide can also quickly pinpoint key wader sites, Yellow Bittern sites and places to find Seychelles Kestrel and Seychelles Swiftlet, which can be surprisingly elusive. Currently there are two guides operating at Mahe, both excellent:
STEVE AGRICOLE and PERLEY CONSTANCE.

Pointers are given to other islands on our WHERE TO WATCH BIRDS page.
