Pep Nogues has reported a series of sightings of Barn Swallow Hirundo rustica
Between Mahé to Desroches: one resting on board of Enterprise II - 25 miles and 40miles from Mahé on the 20th and 21st of April..
At Desroches, four present at Muraille Bon Dieu on the 22nd of April.
At Alphonse, three on 4 April (AB beach section), one on 20 April (EF beach section), two on 21 April and one on 24 April (KA beach section).
Barn Swallow is an uncommon but annual visitor to Seychelles. SBRC collects reports of all sightings, which appear to show it is the only land bird to regularly pass through the islands on both northbound and southbound migration.
